Baking!

Sarah ( my soon to be daughter in law) wanted to try to make homemade pop tarts. This is what they looked like. We used premade pie crusts with these one. She said they were good. She made them again at home with homemade pie crusts, and said they didn't taste like pop tarts. They tasted more like those little pies you can buy at convenient stores ( she doesn't like those). Here is where we found the recipe:

I made homemade strombolis for supper the other night. Another favorite recipe of Eric's . I'm trying to teach Sarah some of his favorites. The picture is of a few of them in the oven. So yummy!

I found a recipe for Pumpkin Cream Cheese muffins and I thought Sarah would like them. We've been trying to get them made for about a month, but things just kept interrupting us. Anyway, we were going to make them the other day, but I was missing 2 ingredients. We went shopping this morning bought those and came home to make them. Once we read that the first step was to make the filling and let it cool for 2 hours....we found a different recipe! We ended up not even needing the 2 ingredients...lol! Only happens to me! The muffins turned out great! My best friend ask that we bring one to church tomorrow for her. Below is a cupcake box we are going to put her muffin in....how cute is that? Here is the recipe:

Isn't this the cutest way to deliver her muffin? I found this free printable template for a cupcake box here:
She has so many great ideas and a number of free printables.

I just want to thank my friend, Sandy, again for getting me started with card making. It has led to so many blessings! Thanks, Sandy for the chat the other day. It was great to talk to and listen to you again. What a blessing you have been in my life. LYLAS!
