Birthday cards..

I needed 3 birthday cards for ladies at church tonight. I made these quickly this afternoon.
I wasn't able to make cards this week as my daughter showed up here on Wednesday morning and left on Saturday. I was keeping busy with her, and no time to make cards. Thats okay with me because I loved spending time with her!!
Shopping plan has been changed a few times. We are suppose to shop for card making items tomorrow! Yeah! Meeting at Hobby Lobby in the morning and then on to more shops and out to lunch. I hope to be able to post Cocoa & Happy Monday cards this week. Maybe even more....he he!
I so need to get some sewing done, but cards are so much more fun!
My Mom & Dad were also in this week. We did a little sight seeing while they were here, but not a whole lot. It was nice to see them too. This isn't the best photo of them...Mom's glasses were dark and Dad is trying to hide the WVU jacket he borrowed because it was cool and he didn't have one...LOL! He never wears anything like that. We teased him so much! Jeff got rained out the next day so we all went to the museum before Mom & Dad had to leave for the banquet. It was a nice time together. We had supper together ( well, pretty much...boys were late) on Thursday night and laughed so hard at some of Jeff's stories, and Chey's teasing. The Bible says " a merry heart  doeth good like a medicine"
Proverbs 17:22a. This has always been a favorite verse of mine. I think the laughter that night helped out a lot of hearts at that table!
Had a great church service this morning. Preacher preached on Paul's famous last words. It was a good sermon. Made me think about my service to God...am I doing enough?
Oh, I got to talk to my son today! Yeah! He is not one for talking much...and especially on the phone. I talked to him for about and hour and a half today! Oh, I just love him. He is not feeling well again today...whatever it is back home that keeps going around got him again. He had to leave church early and waited in the truck for his sister.  Anyway, he's a great kid. I'm blessed to be his mom! I'd post a picture, but he'd not be happy. LOL!
Okay, enough chatter. Have a great evening everyone. Don't forget laughter also burns calories~!

Whoo Hoo! Look at all the pretty cards!!!! Had a fun day shopping with you. Can't wait to see what you make with the things you found and needed! I think I see more sewing on cards and sponging in the future. Great picture of your dad & mom....they are very special people!
