My first attempt at sewing on cards!

This is a set of cards I made for my mom! I love you, Mom!

This is my frist attempt sewing on cards....look at my crooked corner..lol! However, I love it! So, you'll probaly see more of these on here.

I went for a walk today in downtown Gettysburg instead of the battlefield. I thought I'd end up at the scrapbook store, but I didn't. I found some really cute little stores that I intend on going back to when I have some money! LOL! I found one store that makes clothes for American Girl dolls. I called my niece from there because they had the little shaped rubber bracelets ( I can't think of what they are called right now, but they were all the rage for awhile and come in all shapes) in doll size! They had the cutest doll outfits, too.
After I came back to the apartment I realized I had no foil for supper, and was going to drive to the store. I changed my mind because it is only about 4 blocks or so away, and the sun was shining. I had a nice talk with my mom while I walked ( almost got ran over once...lol). It was nice not to have to drive anywhere today.
Church tomorrow. I'm looking forward to it! I really enjoy the services at Gettysburg Bible Baptist Church and the people are so very nice. During prayer time last Wednesday one of the ladies prayed for my family. She ask God to bless them while we were away and to bless us as we had to be apart. What a sweetheart. That really touched my heart to know she cared so much! I'm not sure what the guys have planned to do between morning and evening services, but I do know we are going to a different restaurant for lunch this week. We only eat out once a week- on Sunday afternoons. Every Sunday we've been here so far we've eaten at Bay City because they have all you can eat crablegs on Sundays. Jeff said I could choose another restaurant for this week. I'm thinking General Pickett's. We'll see!
Have a great day at church~

Whoo Hoo!!! I love it! You did great sewing on the cards. I love too how you used sentiments as the main focus on the cards.

Wow, don't tell Caitlyn about the shop that makes AG doll dresses, she'll want to visit you tonight!

Sounds like you are really enjoying Gettysburg!

Can't wait to see what other cards you sew on. I haven't sewed on one for awhile, I need to work on that this week sometime.

Thanks, Sandy. It is so much fun. I liked the sentiments too. I know Mom can use some like that. I'm sure I'll be doing more with the sewing!
